The Administration section and the Elite players section are restricted to the general public, if you feel you should have access to this section please follow the instructions on the Administration page and the Elite Players page.
Feel free to browse through the features and check back regularly for updates and to have your say in the forum.
Mixed Open Coaching Appointed
Please be advised that the appointment for the 2011 World Cup SA Mixed Open Team Coach has been confirmed.
Congratulations to Marty Griffiths on his appointment.
SATA 2009 Invitational Series Tournament
The annual SATA Invitational Series held in Cape Town, will be the weekend of the 21st & 22nd November 2009. The proposed venue for this tournament is Durbanville Rugby Club.
Invitations to be sent out shortly
Junior IPT Dates Announced
The SATA 2009 Junior Inter-Provincial Tournament (JIPT) is scheduled to be held in Durban on the 25th, 26th & 27th September 2009.
The playing venue has been confirmed as Northwood Crusaders Sports Club,
10 Ranleigh Crescent, Durban.
Entry forms have been emailed to all Touch Associations - Closing date for entries is the 1st September 2009.
There are 3 JIPT divisions for both girls & boys (U17 / U19 / U21) – please note SATA follows the F.I.T. guideline for the age group criteria:
2009 U21 age division: players must have been 20 or under on 31/12/2008
2009 U19 age division: players must have been 18 or under on 31/12/2008
2009 U17 age division: players must have been 16 or under on 31/12/2008
National Open Coaches Appointed
Please be advised that the National Open Team Coaches Appointments are as follows:
SA MEN’s OPEN TEAM – Labeeb Levy
SA LADIES OPEN TEAM – Linton Geach
SA Mixed Open Team – Marty Griffiths
The coaching positions for SA Men’s O30’s, SA Mixed 030’s, SA Men’s 035’s & SA Men’s O40’s will be re-advertised shortly – consideration will be given to appointing player / coaches for these teams, pending the outcome of the forthcoming meeting with SARU.
